I retained Buscemi Hallett LLP to prosecute a bad faith suit against Alcala Company, Inc.’s insurance company and to defend against a declaratory relief complaint brought by the carrier. Alcala was originally represented by a large law firm but we switched to Buscemi Hallett LLP after the insurance company attorneys filed a Motion for Summary Judgment and refused mediation or settlement talks of any kind. Once engaged, Michael and David immediately continued the trial date, filed a Motion for Summary Adjudication on Alcala’s behalf and commenced an aggressive round of percipient and expert discovery to prepare the case for trial.
